Don’t Play With Your Food LA was photographed during a one-night-only black tie party at Dear John’s, Frank Sinatra’s old watering hole. Melanie aimed to captured the glamour, glitz, and bright lights that LA is known for. In-N-Out burgers were passed, The Dean Martini was poured. Stuffed celery from Musso and Frank’s was served. All the LA foods that Melanie loves were woven into the evening for the guests to enjoy. As people ate, drank, danced Melanie wandered the room and photographed. The hyper-stylized, flashy LA aesthetic and the challenge of shooting this chapter live were the inspiration for her latest installment of this project.
