I was pretty nervous to shoot Steve Martin and had a zillion concepts. He immeditately picked the ideas he liked and we did the entire shoot, start to finish in one hour. He was super super nice and an amazing banjo player. As I looked through the camera I started to see all these characters come out like Inspector Clouseau and the Jerk. I took along a copy of my book, My Last Supper to give to him, turns out his wife gave it to her Dad for Christmas. Wild.

This shot was supposed to look like we were shooting in the Caribbean in the height of summer. It was actually late October in the Long Island and the water was freezing. Kenny was a good sport but he was really cold and as you can see he was getting really wet. 

I was excited to shoot at the Trump Towers building but nervous that Mr. Trump would eat me alive. Actually he was very professional and straightforward. I almost died when he asked to see the polaroid as I was worried that he would hate the picture,, but he looked at it very seriously and said "You are a good photographer kid." 

Sir Ian was in a play on Broadway and the only time he could shoot was in between his two performances. We picked Sardi's restaurant as the shoot location as it was across from the theater. After we finished shooting inside my secret plan was to try to get a shot outside. I had scouted before the shoot and knew I wanted to go to this very narrow strip in the middle of Times Square. The entire crew from the shoot was lined up behind me on the strip. I could hear Ian's PR person laughing with encouragement  and half begging me not to get us all killed. Tony Bennett's house was fascinating, placed all around the house were mementos from super famous people. Signed letters, guitars and books, it was really a feast for the eyes. The moment we started the shoot my Hasselblad camera jammed, thank god I brought a backup. I think that is why he is laughing.
